Delaware Beach Wedding Venues

Delaware Beach Wedding Venues

In this blog, I want to focus my attention on Delaware Beach wedding venues. I recently wrote a blog post about local Eastern Shore wedding venues. While doing my research for the last blog I realized that including Delaware Beach wedding venues in the post would make the blog too long and that Delaware Beach wedding venues deserve a spot all on their own.
If you haven’t checked out that post you can do that here… https://windsweptphotodesign.com/guide-to-eastern-shore-wedding-venues/

Criteria for my Guide to Delaware Beach Wedding Venues

My criteria for my Guide to Delaware Beach wedding venues are the same as in the previous blog. I am looking for affordable venues, that offer a different kind of flair than the usual ballroom-/big venue set-up and I am looking at these venues from a wedding photographer’s point of view. What does the setting look like in pictures? How many different areas do we have to take photos of? What if the weather is not cooperating, is there enough space inside to pose the entire wedding party? What I don’t want is a venue where these things are not taken into consideration. I have been to venues where there was no outside space to take photos and hardly any on the inside. Also, I know that when my clients look at venues that often they don’t even consider that point until after they talk

My Five Favorite Delaware Beach Wedding Venues

While there are many Delaware Beach wedding venues I looked at, I made myself curate it to only five. I feel having too many options often makes a choice more difficult. I know from experience, for example. that when I look at a menu with tons of choices I often can’t choose and just order what I am familiar with.

Salero on the Beach, Rehoboth Beach, Delaware

I had the privilege to photograph a wedding at Salero’s and can attest to the writing on their website. The views from the ballroom overlook the ocean and are indeed stunning. With the weather cooperating the ceremony was held outdoors on the private beach with easy access for all the guests. Beach weddings at a hotel can sometimes make it difficult for guests who are not staying at the hotel but Solero has ample parking and it shouldn’t be a problem. The staff at Salerno’s was fabulous and very accommodating. The ballroom can seat up to 170 guests Saleros offers 4 different packages for almost any budget. Salero’s is a great wedding venue for anyone who wants a little honeymoon before and after the wedding.

The Big Chill Beach Club might be just what you are looking for if you have the flair for something different. I personally love shooting weddings at this venue. We can wander the beach in search of the perfect photo or wait until sunset to get the stunning bridge as the perfect back-drop.
